Source: WikiSuper Smash Bros. (ニンテンドーオールスター!大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ Nintendō Ōrusutā! Dairantō Sumasshu Burazāzu, lit. "Nintendo All Star! Great Melee Smash Brothers") is a crossover fighting game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It was released in Japan on January 21, 1999, in North America on April 26, 1999,[1] and in Europe on November 19, 1999. Super Smash Bros. is the first game in the Super Smash Bros. series, and was followed by Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube in 2001 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii in 2008. Super Smash Bros. was released for the Virtual Console in Japan on January 20, 2009, one day short of a decade after its original release.
The game is centered where players can play as and against characters from Nintendo's video gaming franchises such as Mario, Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda. The stages and gameplay modes make references to, or take their designs from, popular games released by Nintendo. The gameplay system offers an unorthodox approach to the fighting game genre as percentage counters measure the level of damage received, rather than the health bar traditionally seen in most fighting games.
Super Smash Bros. received mostly positive reviews from the media. It was commercially successful, selling over 4.9 million copies, with 2.93 million copies sold in the United States,[2] and 1.97 million copies sold in Japan.[3]
Better than Paradox's inject, it's the OFFICIAL Nintendo-released Super Smash Bros. from Nintendo 64!
Here is the official release for Super Smash bros.(NTSC-J) from nintendo.
I injected the (NTSC-u) version to this, but it seems that it hangs on the contol screen. Which it doesn't work (???). (tested by me)
Benefits :
1. Smaller in size (Uses 104 blocks).
2. Japanese banner.
3. new button controls (Melee and Brawl style) (New button key).
3. Runs smoother.
4. Region free.
5. Have Fun.!!!
Official (NTSC-j) Download: Here
Here is the hacked version with the English rom: no luck (help needed will be appreciated)

Every time I want to play Smash 64 I have to enter my parental control pin for some stupid reason. I looked at my parental control settings and nothing seemed to be wrong. I don't have this problem with other games...
Can someone help me out?
Too bad that's still an assload of blocks.
The Japanese version also has sound effects that were cut out of the US/EU versions (such as the light saber swing) and a slightly different physics engine. Check out Fox's down + A (not smash move) for comparison.
A superior version in my opinion, why would you want to inject the US rom?
I've successfully injected Super Smash Bros (NTSC-U) into that .wad given above. It took me awhile to do it, but I did it. If someone could tweak it further to change all the Japanese text on the outside and image to the one from Paradox, I'd think we'd be in business.
As for size, you're a chucklefuck if you think 135 blocks is huge. Zelda games are 280+ and the Paradox version of SSB is 290.
Captain Falcon has a larger jump in the JP and that's enough reason to make me play the US version; it's more fair to others.
I would appreciate if you used my link instead of making mirrors to it. I'm always on top of my filebox, so if it goes down you can expect a re-up immediately.
