Huge props are due to Waninkoko!
cIOS Rev12 is out, and here for you to download!
[ cIOS38 rev 12 ]:
- Based on IOS 38 v3610.
- Support for consoles with serial number LU64+
- Error 001/002 patching system improved.
- Cover check patch added.
- EHCI module improved (thanks to Hermes).
- SDHC module improved.
- DIP plugin improved.
- ES plugin added.
- FFS plugin added.
- Some patches fixed.
- Misc improvements and fixes.
There are 2 options for installing, WAD (with the proper IOS38) or Network.
You may discuss where to get IOS38 (get it in the comments, or from your own copy of Animal Crossing), but your best bet is to just do the Network install, as it will download and patch the files on the fly, reducing your risk of bricks!
PLEASE NOTE!!
I have personally tested this, and can confirm that this does allow USB devices such as microphones to work while using a HDLoader!
You must use the correct USB port for your HD! When looking at the back of the Wii, plug your HD into the RIGHT port, and your USB device or HUB in the LEFT port.
First DSI-mode game.

Punch Out doesn't have the WAD... For those of you that need the offline (wad installation) version here you go:

That wad was built from me using the NUS Downloader on 0000000100000026 v3610 and built the IOS38-64-3610.wad so for those of you that do it offline here you go!
hmmm... after installingf this, my wii does not reconize my HDD... when re-install cIOS 36 rev10, everything is OK (exept mics.)... any idea for this prob??
thx in adv, and big sorry for my english, i´m austrian ;-)
This works with microphones but not other usb instruments such as the rockband drums or guitar
USB HDD MUST be plugged into the right (as you look at the back of your Wii) USB slot. Plug your other thing/hub into the left slot.
works like a charm. thanks wanin!
I got the same problem as Tommy. After installing this new cIOS, the USB Loader 1.5 stopped to recognize my USB HD. I'm using USB Loader since it's the very first version so, I'm sure it's not my mistake on using it but a bug in this new cIOS version. After going back to cIOS rev 10, things got back to work. Any clue about the reason of the problem ? Yep, it's a bugged cIOS version. I bet Waninkoko will release cIOS rev 13 in no time at all.
Finally, my USB HD works! Thanks Waninkoko!
Just an update:
Waninkoko will release cIOS rev13 tomorrow, as stated in the topic of the irc channel... enjoy!
Just posted Waninkoko's cIOS38rev13b enjoy!

I'm getting -2011 error, what's up?
